I was born on December 14, 1976 in beautiful historic Savannah Georgia.
I had attended and graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration.
Some major influence in my work has been that I grew up around horses on a small farm in Georgia and have always had a fascination with the beauty
of nature, horses and other animals. My sense of spirituality has also
played a big part in the progression of my talent.
After graduating, I had taken a short hiatus from art
career in order to start and raise a family. Slowly, I have picked up my pencil and paint brushes in order to resume the creation of more
works of art.
My favored style and
techniques are watercolor, realistic graphite pencil renderings and ink
stippling technique, which uses a pattern of dots, in order to render intricate
animal or nature designs, then I add color using watercolor paints and sometimes colored inks.
I have recently been invited to attend the very prestigious 9th Annual Grand National Art Show and Sale at the Cow Palace in San Francisco California, which I have excepted with much excitement and enthusiasm.
I have done individual art
commissions over the years but the Grand National Art Show and Sale is my first large scale show. I showed in the watercolor and graphite pencil artist division and I was very proud to be
apart of this wonderful event where I can share my art with so many other
people. I look forward to many more art show opportunities to come.
Thank you so much for stopping by,
Sincerely,
Jodi Bauter
